Decluttering & Organising in Kensington
No judgement. Sustainable systems. Calm support.
Kensington is among the most prestigious addresses in London, with grand stucco terraces, substantial Victorian townhouses, lateral conversions in mansion blocks, and mews properties tucked behind the main streets. The properties are large by central London standards, but the architectural style means that built-in storage is rarely a feature; these homes were designed for a household with staff, not one with a self-assembly wardrobe from Ikea and a collection of ski equipment. Managing the space well requires intention, and in a property that is used to looking immaculate on the surface, the pressure to maintain that standard can be considerable.
Kensington clients often have layered homes, beautifully furnished on the surface, with significant complexity behind closed doors or in rooms that visitors don't see. Inherited pieces, collections, and the belongings of a long, full life can accumulate even in a very well-run household.
Order from Chaos provides professional decluttering and organising services in Kensington, with individual, face-to-face sessions at £45 per hour and virtual sessions available from £75.
Who this is for
A professional whose principal rooms look immaculate, while the rooms behind them tell a different story. Someone who moved into more space than before and still hasn't properly settled into it. A family with competing demands, where clutter keeps winning the daily contest. Anyone living with ADHD, perimenopause, disability, or burnout who needs a pace that actually suits them.

Decluttering and Organising Go Together
Decluttering is reducing what's in the way. Organising is creating easy systems for what stays.
Most people need to declutter before they organise. It's the amount of stuff that is overwhelming and causing the clutter. Streamlining and organising will help you live better.

How sessions work (4 or 7 hours at £45/hour)
You choose either a 4-hour or 7-hour session. In a typical session we:
Will talk through which areas are upsetting you the most
Decide on what area to tackle and the goal for the session
Will go through your belongs systematically to decide what is still working for you
Work out how to store and organise the items you have decided to keep
What clients say
There is no house or storage problem that she can't tackle, and it's always beautiful, adapted to your needs and solution-focused.

Calm, experienced support — without judgement
I founded Order from Chaos, because after a career spanning over 25 years working in humanitarian response, I still wanted to help people, just in a different way. As a humanitarian, I worked for governments, the United Nations, and NGOs to help those affected by disasters such as floods, tsunamis, and hurricanes, etc. and I was awarded an OBE in 2016 and an Honorary Doctorate in 2017 for this work. I have both autism (ASD) and ADHD (AuDHD), which were diagnosed when I was 51 and 53 years old.
What that means for you is simple:
I am used to working under pressure in crises
I have years of experience implementing systems to keep organised whilst my brain worked differently due to my neurodivergence
I love putting things in boxes with labels
I bring ADHD-friendly / neurodivergent-friendly approaches to my work with you, whether you are neurotypical or neurodivergent; the skills work for both types of brain
I also support those going through the executive function challenges that perimenopause brings

Moving at this level involves a lot of moving parts and very little time to manage them. I work alongside your removal company to make sure the logistics run smoothly, your precious belongings are packed with care, and your new home is unpacked and set up properly from day one.
This isn't boxes stacked in a hallway. Everything goes where it should, in a way that makes sense for how you actually live. I liaise directly with your removal team, handle the packing of your treasured possessions, and make sure the unpacking is done to a standard that means you can function in the space immediately.
