Decluttering & Organising in Mayfair &n Marylebone

No judgement. Sustainable systems. Calm support.

Transform your Mayfair & Marylebone home from 'I can't cope' to calm

Mayfair and Marylebone are two of London's most refined addresses, and two very different ones. Mayfair is defined by its Georgian townhouses, the grand apartments overlooking Grosvenor Square, and properties that have been in private hands or corporate use for generations. Marylebone, just to the north, has a more village-like quality: independent shops on the high street, mansion blocks and period conversions on the residential streets, and a quieter, more domestic feel despite the W1 postcode. In both cases, the properties are typically lateral, well-appointed, and short on storage by any practical measure.

Clients in Mayfair and Marylebone often have sophisticated, well-curated homes on the surface, with a more complex reality behind the scenes, such as artwork, inherited pieces, wardrobes that have outgrown their space, and the particular challenge of managing significant belongings in a high-value property where everything needs to be handled with appropriate care.

Order from Chaos provides professional decluttering and organising services in Mayfair and Marylebone, with individual, face-to-face sessions at £45 per hour and virtual sessions available from £75. White-glove, bespoke home move management is also available.

Common Scenarios in Marylebone & Mayfair Homes

Whether you're in Mayfair, Marylebone Village, or the streets around Regent's Park, the pattern is often similar:

Wardrobes containing a working wardrobe, a formal wardrobe, and several decades of 'maybes'

Home offices where paperwork from multiple businesses or investments is overwhelming

Guest rooms and dressing rooms that have become overflow storage rather than functional spaces

Kitchens with professional-grade equipment and very little working space

Seasonal and luxury items that need a proper system rather than a dumping ground

Decluttering v Organising and Why You Usually Need Both

Decluttering is reducing what's in the way. Organising is creating easy systems for what stays.

Most clients need a blend: we clear the bottlenecks, then set up simple systems you can maintain without constant effort.

How sessions work (4 or 7 hours at £45/hour)

You choose either a 4-hour or 7-hour session. In a typical session we:

  • Agree the outcome for the day (e.g., 'functional kitchen', 'calm bedroom', 'paperwork triage')

  • Sort fast, keeping decision fatigue in mind

  • Create storage and 'homes' that match your habits

  • Reset the space so it's usable immediately

  • Plan the next small step so progress sticks

No judgement, no pressure, no forcing. You stay in control of decisions, I bring structure, momentum and calm.

Calm, experienced support — without judgement

Before founding Order From Chaos, I spent over two decades leading complex operations in high-pressure, humanitarian crisis management, and I was awarded an OBE and an Honorary Doctorate for this work. I have ASD and ADHD (AuDHD).

What that means for you is simple:

  • When things feel overwhelming, I stay calm

  • When decisions feel impossible, I bring structure

  • When chaos feels personal, I remove shame

  • I bring ADHD-friendly / neurodivergent-friendly approaches to my work with you

You're not hiring someone to judge your home. You're hiring someone trained to bring order to complexity, gently, practically, and at your pace.

Marylebone properties ooze personality, with listed features, quirky and at times awkward staircases, and rooms that don't conform to what removal teams expect. Mayfair brings different priorities: discretion, efficiency, and a move that happens without drama or an audience.

What I offer covers both. I visit the old property and the new one before anything is packed, plan how the space will work, and liaise directly with your removal company throughout. The packing is handled properly. The unpacking is done to a standard where everything is in its place and the home functions, not provisionally functional, actually functional, before I leave.

No boxes stacked in corners for you to deal with later. No outstanding decisions pushed to next week. If you'd like to talk through what a turnkey service managing your move looks like in practice, a 15-minute discovery call is where to start..

Bespoke Move Management

What clients say

My experience with Jo was wonderful. I asked for their services to help me unpack after I moved to my current home so I could start fresh and be better organised. Jo was so amazing with ideas on how to use space including how to use my furniture to set up my little office separate from my main dining room while keeping it cool and modern. She did a particularly exceptional job with my kitchen, as it was a bit smaller than the one I had before. She also gave me ideas for other things I could do in the future to maximise space and make it even more functional. I can’t believe it’s now been over two years, and my kitchen is still neat and tidy! I can’t wait to using them again very soon, I need to sort out my cupboard under the stairs!
