Decluttering & Organising in Clapham

Who this is for

You might be:

A time-poor professional or family who wants less stress, fewer arguments and a smoother daily routine

Overwhelmed by decisions that need to be made on what to keep, where to put it, what to do first and where to donate all that stuff you no longer need

Living with ADHD/ASD, chronic illness, perimenopause, or burnout and needing an accountability buddy to help you reach your goals

Preparing for a move, renovation, new baby, or just unable to get going

How sessions work (4 or 7 hours at £45/hour)

You choose either a 4-hour or 7-hour session. In a typical session we:

  • Agree the outcome for the day (e.g., 'functional kitchen', 'calm bedroom', 'paperwork triage')

  • Sort fast, keeping decision fatigue in mind

  • Create storage and 'homes' that match your habits

  • Reset the space so it's usable immediately

  • Plan the next small step so progress sticks

No judgement, no pressure, no forcing. You stay in control of decisions, I bring structure, momentum and calm.

Common Scenarios in Clapham Homes

Whether you’re in Clapham South, Clapham Common, Clapham North, Abbeville Village, Balham, Brixton or Stockwell, the pattern is often similar:

Open-plan flats where clutter has nowhere to hide

Wardrobes stuffed with clothes, some with labels still attached

Spare rooms that have become dumping grounds for ‘later’ decisions

Home offices where you have to put the background on for the videoconferencing calls

Shared spaces where systems keep breaking down, causing tension, frustration and anger

Kitchens where every surface is covered with things that shouldn't be there

No judgement. Sustainable systems. Calm support.

Transform your Clapham home from 'I can't cope' to calm

Clapham looks effortless from the outside: the Common, the bars, the busy energy. But behind those smart front doors, many of my clients are quietly struggling with a home that feels chaotic, disorganised, and impossible to stay on top of.

Whether you’re in Clapham South, around the Common, or in Abbeville Village, the challenge is often the same: a full, busy life has accumulated more stuff than your systems can handle. Order from Chaos provides professional decluttering and organising across Clapham with a kind, non-judgemental, ADHD-friendly approach, working at a pace that fits your life and your brain.

Decluttering v Organising and Why You Usually Need Both

Decluttering is reducing what's in the way. Organising is creating easy systems for what stays.

Most clients need a blend: we clear the bottlenecks, then set up simple systems you can maintain without constant effort.

Calm, experienced support — without judgement

Before founding Order From Chaos, I spent over two decades leading complex operations in high-pressure, humanitarian crisis management, and I was awarded an OBE and an Honorary Doctorate for this work. I have ASD and ADHD (AuDHD).

What that means for you is simple:

  • When things feel overwhelming, I stay calm

  • When decisions feel impossible, I bring structure

  • When chaos feels personal, I remove shame

  • I bring ADHD-friendly / neurodivergent-friendly approaches to my work with you

You're not hiring someone to judge your home. You're hiring someone trained to bring order to complexity, gently, practically, and at your pace.

Local, Practical Donation Support

At the end of each session, I’ll donate items to the local charity shop(s) you prefer, such as Mary’s Living & Giving for Save the Children, Trinity Hospice, MIND, Oxfam, Cancer Research UK, the British Heart Foundation, and the British Red Cross.

Please note: Opening times and donation rules can change, so we'll double-check before drop-off.

What clients say

I tried a decluttering service before and honestly it was awful. I felt judged, uncomfortable, and like I had to explain and justify myself constantly. Then I found Jo and what a difference. She’s neurodivergent too, so she just got it. No awkwardness, no shame, no pressure. She was kind, encouraging, and totally non-judgemental — and really careful about pacing things based on what I could manage that day (which, for me, changes a lot depending on my health).
