Decluttering & Organising in Wimbledon
No judgement. Sustainable systems. Calm support.
Wimbledon divides neatly into two distinct worlds: the Village at the top of the hill, with its boutique shops, large detached houses, and green spaces that back onto the common; and the town at the bottom, more urban and dense, with Victorian terraces and purpose-built flats around the station. The Village is one of south-west London's most desirable addresses, the kind of place where substantial family homes sit behind mature hedges and have been lived in and added to over decades. The town attracts a younger, more transient professional population, though the residential streets away from the high street are quieter and more settled than the centre suggests.
Wimbledon Village households in particular tend to accumulate at scale, large properties, and the particular complexity of a home that has housed a full family lifecycle. The challenge is often one of volume: too much, in too many rooms, all of which need a decision.
Order From Chaos provides professional decluttering and organising across Wimbledon with a kind, non-judgemental, ADHD-friendly approach, working at a pace that fits your life and your brain. Individual, face-to-face sessions are £45 per hour, and virtual sessions are available from £75.
Who this is for
You might be:
A time-poor professional, retiree or family who wants a more peaceful and less stressful life and surroundings
Overwhelmed by mountains of possessions that have become a problem
Living with ADHD/ASD, disability chronic illness, perimenopause, or burnout and need support to get started, build momentum and achieve your decluttering objectives
Preparing for a move, renovation, new baby, or needing help unpacking post move

Common Scenarios in Wimbledon Homes
Whether you’re in the Village, Raynes Park, Merton Park, or Southfields, the pattern is often similar:
Family kitchens where meal prep is non-existent and the Deliveroo driver knows you by name
Wardrobes so tightly packed and busting at the seams that you can't even see what you have, let alone get it out of the wardrobe
Spare rooms that haven't seen a visitor in years
Home offices where you can't work because it is too stressful
Hallways piled with items dumped when returning home
Decluttering v Organising
Decluttering is the process of reducing the items in your home that are leading to clutter, and Organising is creating easy systems for what you choose to keep.
Most people need a mixture of the two.

How Does it Work?
Sessions run four or seven hours at £45 an hour, and cover two related jobs: decluttering, which removes what's in your way, and organising, which sets up systems for what stays. Village houses carrying decades of belongings and Town houses built for busy family life tend to need a different balance of the two, which we work out together before starting. Once you've told me the goal for the day, I sort at a pace that respects decision fatigue, fit storage to how the room's actually used, and leave the space functioning by the time I go. Before I leave, we agree on a small next step, so the change outlasts the session.
Calm, experienced support — without judgement
Before founding Order from Chaos, I spent over two decades leading complex operations in high-pressure, humanitarian crisis management, starting with the earthquakes in El Salvador in 2001. I was awarded an OBE and an Honorary Doctorate for this work. I have both ASD and ADHD (AuDHD).
What that means for you is simple:
I have spent years developing organisational systems that work for my neurodivergent brain
I can now use those skills to help others who struggle to organise
I will never judge you for your clutter
I bring ADHD-friendly / neurodivergent-friendly approaches to my work with you

One of the best parts of my job is how I can help the environment by ensuring that as many of my clients' belongings as possible are able to be of use with someone else

St Christopher's Hospice is my charity of choice. If you're a UK taxpayer and would like to Gift Aid your donation, you can register directly with St Christopher's here and pass me your donor number to quote at drop-off.

White Glove Home Move Support
Wimbledon is a particular kind of move, often a significant family home, frequently a step up in size or complexity, and almost always happening at a moment when life is already busy enough without adding full-scale move management on top.
I take that on. Pre-move visits to both properties, space planning for the new home, direct liaison with the removal company, proper packing oversight, and a complete unpack that leaves the house set up and functional before I leave. The kind of service where you can focus on the things that actually need your attention, because the move itself is being handled.

What clients say
I asked Jo tackle a few spaces in our compact house that had got away from us, a kitchen cupboard of doom which needs to house baking items, pots and pans, chopping boards and storage containers where nothing could ever be found, a shelf overflowing with medicines for allergies, vitamins etc and an entertainment unit which serves as a bookshelf and toy tidy. Having Jo come in and deal with it all methodically and without fuss, was just what we needed. Their approach was calm and considered, and the solutions they landed on are practical, maintainable and make sense for how we use the spaces. Really grateful to Jo for bringing some calm back to our living area.
