Decluttering & Organising in Kent

No judgement. Sustainable systems. Calm support.

Transform your Kent Home

Kent is the largest county in the south east and one of the most varied, from the commuter towns of Sevenoaks and Tonbridge within easy reach of London, to the historic cathedral city of Canterbury, the coastal towns of Whitstable and Faversham, and the more rural reaches of the Weald. The housing stock is equally diverse: substantial detached homes in the commuter belt, oast house conversions and period farmhouses in the countryside, and Victorian terraces in the older market towns. What connects them is that people choose Kent to settle, and settling means accumulation, often across many years.

Kent homes frequently present the particular challenge of space that has filled up slowly and imperceptibly: a barn, a double garage, a spare room that became a storage room that became a problem.

Order From Chaos provides professional decluttering and organising across Kent with a calm, non-judgemental, ADHD-friendly approach. We work at a pace that fits your life and your brain. Individual, face-to-face sessions are £45 per hour, and virtual sessions are available from £75.

Who this is for

You might be:

A City commuter or busy professional wanting a calmer home after a long working week, but the task at hand is overwhelming, and you don't know where to start. You might be living with ADHD/ASD, chronic illness, perimenopause, or burnout and need some support to guide you through the process. You may be entering a new chapter, such as preparing to move home, unpacking in your new home, renovating your current home, or simply tired of restarting the same weekend project and never finishing

Common Scenarios in Kent Homes

Whether you’re in Sevenoaks, Canterbury, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, or a Wealden village, the pattern is often similar:

Family kitchens where meal prep feels like an obstacle course and you have no more spoons

Wardrobes stuffed with clothes from past decades, still with their tags on, or clothes you've forgotten you even had

Spare rooms full to the brim with all those belongings that don't have a home

Home offices that conspire to work against you, instead of inspiring you to achieve results

Garages full of items you can’t quite face sorting, and where no car has been parked for years

Organising or Decluttering. Why Do I Need Both?

Decluttering is reducing what's in the way. Organising is creating easy systems for what stays.

I usually find that the root cause of most problems in homes is the number of items, not lack of storage, although it can be both.

How sessions work (4 or 7 hours at £45/hour)

You choose either a 4-hour or 7-hour session. In a typical session we:

  • Have a quick discussion about what area(s) you want to tackle and what your goals are for your space(s)

  • Get to work categorising your belongings before starting to work through them systematically to decide on what you are keeping and what you are willing to let go

  • Work together to decide what the best storage solutions are for you and your family

  • Implement them or put the wheels in motion to put them in place

No judgement, no pressure, no forcing.

Calm, experienced support — without judgement

I spent over two decades leading complex operations in high-pressure humanitarian crisis management, and I was awarded an OBE and an Honorary Doctorate for this work. In 2023, I founded Order from Chaos to continue my work helping others. I was diagnosed with ASD (Autism) in 2023 and ADHD in 2025.

What that means for you is simple:

  • I am great in a crisis

  • I have lived-experience of executive dysfunction, whilst also loving creating order and putting systems in place

  • I bring ADHD-friendly / neurodivergent-friendly approaches to my work with you

What clients say

It’s a big deal opening up and letting someone into your chaos but Jo made that so much easier than I’d imagined. My pantry didn’t need to be fancy, it needed to be functional and make sense. Jo has a way of putting you at ease so opening up and releasing the chaos didn’t feel so bad. Together we achieved success. A pantry that years on still works, is super functional, so my life has become easier. Thank you.
