Decluttering & Organising in Banstead
No judgement. Sustainable systems. Calm support.
Transform your Banstead home from 'I can't cope' to calm
Banstead sits just inside the Surrey border, a proper village with a busy high street, wide green spaces, and substantial homes that attract professional families looking for more space and a quieter pace of life. The housing stock here is predominantly large detached and semi-detached properties, many built in the 1930s and postwar period, with generous rooms that feel spacious until, gradually, they don't. Lofts, garages, and utility rooms tend to absorb the overflow for years before anyone notices quite how much has accumulated. It's the kind of place where people put down roots and stay, and the longer you stay, the more a home takes on a life of its own.
Whether you're in the village itself, in the residential streets around Nork, or further out towards Burgh Heath and Woodmansterne, the challenge is often the same: a home that has grown with you, filling up gradually until the systems stop working. Long-term residents sometimes find themselves navigating decades of accumulated belongings, their own, and sometimes a parent's, too. Order from Chaos provides professional decluttering and organising services in Banstead, Surrey, with individual, face-to-face sessions at £45 per hour and virtual sessions available from £75.
Sound Familiar?
You might be:
A time-poor professional or family who wants a calmer home, less rushing about, and a smoother daily routine
Overwhelmed by decisions of what to keep, where to put it, or what to do first
Living with ADHD/ASD, chronic illness, perimenopause, or burnout, and the brain fog is stopping you from acting
Preparing for a life change, such as a move, renovation, new baby, or simply tired or trying to stay organised and failing.
You may have:
Large detached homes with multiple reception rooms that have all taken on storage functions
Garages that haven't been parked in for years
Loft spaces filled with the whole family's accumulated years of belongings
Family kitchens and utility rooms which have become the first stop for anything and everything
Home offices where there are papers everywhere and none of them are in order

Moving to Banstead? Need Some Help?
We arrive after your removal team and work systematically through your new home, unpacking and organising as we go. We don't just empty boxes; we create a home that functions from the very first day, with the kitchen unpacked and organised, clothes away in wardrobes and drawers, children's rooms readied so they can settle in quickly, living spaces arranged, and boxes broken down and ready for collection.

What a Session Involves
Clearing space and keeping it clear are two different jobs. Decluttering means reducing what's in the way; organising means giving what's left a proper home so it stays put. In a big Banstead house, both matter; there's rarely a shortage of storage here, just too much stored in it.
Sessions run four or seven hours at forty-five pounds an hour. We start by agreeing what a good outcome looks like for that day, whether that's getting the car back in the garage or finally clearing the loft. From there I work quickly but calmly, keeping decision fatigue in mind, sort belongings into what stays and what goes, and set up storage that matches how you actually use the room. Before I leave, the space is usable straightaway, and we agree on one small next step so the momentum doesn't stall. No judgement, no pressure. You make the decisions; I bring the structure.

Why Clients Work with Me
I spent two decades in humanitarian crisis management before founding Order from Chaos, and that work led to an OBE and an Honorary Doctorate. I have ASD and ADHD (AuDHD), and I know what it takes to function well when your brain works differently.
What that means for you is simple:
I don't panic when a room feels out of control
Impossible decisions get broken down until they're possible
Shame doesn't belong in the process, so I remove it
My work is ADHD-friendly / neurodivergent-friendly throughout
I also support clients navigating perimenopause-related brain fog and overwhelm
Turning a full house into a workable one is what years of practice looks like, that's what you're hiring, delivered at whatever pace suits you.
Read more about my background on the About page.

I'll take up to five standard-sized rubbish bags with me after most sessions. If session times permit, I can donate suitable items to St. Raphael's Hospice, the Princess Alice Hospice, the Children's Trust, Oxfam and Cancer Research, all in the High Street.
Where the service is available, I can also arrange collection of charity donations.
