Decluttering & Organising in Cheam

No judgement. Sustainable systems. Calm support.

Transform your Cheam home from 'I can't cope' to calm

Cheam is a quiet, well-established suburb on the Surrey-London border, the kind of place where families buy a house, put the children through the local schools, and stay for thirty years. The housing stock is predominantly 1920s and 1930s semi-detached homes with decent gardens, solid construction, and just enough rooms to feel spacious for a family, until the family grows into every corner and the garage becomes the room no one talks about. There are also larger detached homes in the streets towards Nonsuch Park, where the demographic skews towards successful professionals and long-term homeowners.

Cheam households tend to accumulate in layers: children's belongings from multiple stages, furniture inherited from parents, and a loft that started as temporary storage twenty years ago. The problem isn't laziness; it's that life is full, and the sorting keeps getting pushed to later.

Order From Chaos provides professional decluttering and organising in Cheam with a calm, non-judgemental, ADHD-friendly approach. Individual, face-to-face sessions are £45 per hour, and virtual sessions are available from £75.

Recognise This?

Whether you're in Cheam Village, the Nonsuch area, or North Cheam, the pattern tends to repeat: large family homes with enough space to lose things permanently, garages and utility rooms turned into full-time storage, wardrobes spanning several different life phases and waistlines, home offices set up hastily and never properly organised, and kitchens overtaken by clutter despite being genuinely beautiful spaces underneath it.

Or, you might be a time-poor professional or family who doesn't want to be decluttering after the daily grind, overwhelmed by a floordrobe as tall as Everest, living with ADHD/ASD, chronic illness, disability, perimenopause, or burnout, or preparing for a move, renovation or new baby.

Decluttering or Organising?

Decluttering is reducing what's getting you down. Organising is creating easy systems for what stays.

Most clients need both services: we clear the clutter, then set up simple systems you can maintain without constant effort.

Sessions run for four or seven hours at £45 an hour. Upon arrival, we agree the outcome for the day, sort fast while keeping decision fatigue in mind, create storage that matches your habits, and reset the space.

Calm, experienced support — without judgement

Before founding Order from Chaos, I spent over two decades leading complex operations in high-pressure, humanitarian crisis management, and I was awarded an OBE and an Honorary Doctorate for this work. I have ASD and ADHD (AuDHD).

What that means for you is simple:

You'll get someone practised at untangling complicated situations calmly, working through your home at a pace that actually fits your life.

What clients say

Jo has helped me tackle an overwhelming play room and also my ‘cupboard of doom’ full of kids arts and crafts. Everything has a home and is labelled beautifully!

If you are moving, doing building works, or just fancy a refresh, I can help you achieve your goals. Decluttering and home staging before you move, and unpacking your new home after you move. Where Does My Stuff Go?

I can take up to five standard-sized rubbish bags away with me. If time permits, I can drop them at St Raphael's Hospice on the High Street in Cheam Village, or Cancer Research UK on the Broadway.
