Decluttering & Organising in Epsom and Ewell

Transform your Epsom and Ewell home

Epsom and Ewell sit at the northern edge of Surrey, close enough to London for a straightforward commute and far enough to feel like proper suburbia, with wide residential roads, parks, and housing stock that leans heavily towards the interwar period. The 1930s semi is the defining property type here: bay-fronted, pebble-dashed or rendered, with a garage to one side and a garden that seemed perfectly manageable when the family moved in. The spaces are generous by London standards, which is both a comfort and a trap; there's always another cupboard, another corner of the loft, another drawer in the garage.

Epsom and Ewell attract stable, settled households, professionals, families, and long-term residents who've been in the same house for many years. The accumulation is typically steady and quiet, the kind that doesn't feel like a problem until suddenly every surface is working harder than it should.

Order from Chaos provides professional decluttering and organising across Epsom and Ewell with a kind, non-judgemental, ADHD-friendly approach, working at a pace that fits your life and your brain. Individual, face-to-face sessions are £45 per hour, and virtual sessions are available from £75.

No judgement. Sustainable systems. Calm support.

Why This Could Help You

You might be:

A time-poor professional who wants to spend more quality time with their friends and family and less time looking for their keys

Overwhelmed by the clutter in your home, which prevents you from relaxing with your friends and family and sleeping easily at night

Living with disability, ADHD/ASD, chronic illness, perimenopause, or burnout and where you need practical support to declutter and organise

Preparing for downsizing, moving, renovating, or awaiting the arrival of a new baby, and don't know where to start

Common Scenarios in Epsom & Ewell Homes

Whether you’re in Cheam, Banstead, Tadworth, Ashtead, Leatherhead, or Sutton, the pattern is often similar:

Family homes where every room has a different clutter problem. Wardrobes and dressing rooms stuffed with clothes you don't wear, don't fit, don't suit, or don't spark joy. A garage that hasn't had a car in it for years. A home office buried under paperwork, where you can't find the keyboard. A loft that's a no-go zone, packed with things kept "just in case" but that situation that never arises. Kitchens and utility rooms with surfaces permanently covered: less utility, more futility.

Declutter or Organise?

Decluttering is reducing what's in the way. Organising is creating easy systems for what stays.

Most clients need both. Storing items that no longer serve you perpetuates the problem, so I always recommend decluttering first, before moving on to organising.

How sessions work (4 or 7 hours at £45/hour)

You choose either a 4-hour or 7-hour session. In a typical session, we:

  • Talk through the challenges you have with your spaces

  • Decide what we can reasonably achieve in that session

  • Reduce your belongings until you are left with the items that matter most

  • Store these away so that you can find them easily whenever you need them

No judgement, no pressure, no forcing. You're in control; I just help you achieve your goals.

Calm, experienced support — without judgement

Before founding Order from Chaos, I spent over two decades working in humanitarian emergency management, responding to earthquakes, tsunamis and hurricanes worldwide, and I was awarded an OBE and an Honorary Doctorate for this work. I have ASD and ADHD (AuDHD), diagnosed in 2023 and 2025.

What that means for you is simple:

  • I've had years of experience developing systems that work for a brain that works differently

  • I can now use that experience to help you do the same

  • I've had the executive dysfunction, so I won't judge yours

  • I bring ADHD-friendly / neurodivergent-friendly approaches to my work with you

I'm such a regular at my local charity shops now, they all know me by name, and that is a good thing. It means I am able to give the items you choose to let go of a second life. Not only will someone else get joy from the things that no longer serve you, but a charity will also benefit.

St Christopher's Hospice is my charity of choice. If you're a UK taxpayer and would like to Gift Aid your donation, you can register directly with St Christopher's here and pass me your donor number to quote at drop-off.

What clients say

Thank you so much Jo! It’s been a real pleasure having you help us sort out our home as we settle back in. We’re getting there, and you’ve done a brilliant job — your calm, no-judgement approach made such a difference for our neurodivergent family. We felt completely at ease throughout, which isn’t always easy to find. Highly recommend Jo to anyone who needs a compassionate, practical hand with their space.
