Decluttering & Organising in Purley

Who this is for

You might be:

A professional or executive whose home no longer feels like a sanctuary

Someone who has moved into a larger property and never quite unpacked properly

A family managing multiple demands and losing the daily battle with clutter

Anyone living with ADHD, perimenopause, or overwhelm who needs a pace that works for them

How sessions work (4 or 7 hours at £45/hour)

You choose either a 4-hour or 7-hour session. In a typical session we:

  • Agree the outcome for the day (e.g., 'functional kitchen', 'calm bedroom', 'paperwork triage')

  • Sort fast, keeping decision fatigue in mind

  • Create storage and 'homes' that match your habits

  • Reset the space so it's usable immediately

  • Plan the next small step so progress sticks

No judgement, no pressure, no forcing. You stay in control of decisions, I bring structure, momentum and calm.

Common Scenarios in Purley Homes

Many Purley clients have:

Family homes where clutter has spread across multiple rooms, and no single clear-out has ever tackled the whole picture

Garages and loft storage that have not been properly sorted since the last house move — and possibly the one before that

Home offices are buried under paperwork, cables, and the equipment of previous work-from-home setups

Children's rooms and playrooms that have outgrown every storage solution tried so far

Wardrobes that contain three different sizes and two different decades, making getting dressed feel like a daily defeat

No judgement. Sustainable systems. Calm support.

Transform your Purley home from Overwhelmed to Organised

Purley sits at the point where suburban South London gives way to Surrey, and the homes here reflect that transition; solid, spacious, family-sized, and often full to the brim. Wide streets, good commuter links, and well-regarded schools attract busy professional families, and with busy families comes accumulation. Rooms that started with a purpose gradually stop serving it.

Whether it is a garage that has absorbed three house moves' worth of boxes, a study that became a dumping ground when working from home arrived, or a main bedroom where the wardrobe long since stopped working, the pattern is familiar: life moved fast, the house absorbed the overflow, and at some point it stopped feeling manageable..

Decluttering v Organising and Why You Usually Need Both

Decluttering is reducing what's in the way. Organising is creating easy systems for what stays.

Most clients need a blend of both decluttering and organising: because organising without decluttering does not solve the real problem. So, together we clear the excess, then set up simple systems you can maintain easily

Calm, experienced support — without judgement

Before founding Order From Chaos, I spent over two decades leading complex operations in high-pressure, humanitarian crisis management, and I was awarded an OBE and an Honorary Doctorate for this work. I have ASD and ADHD (AuDHD).

What that means for you is simple:

  • When things feel overwhelming, I stay calm

  • When decisions feel impossible, I bring structure

  • When chaos feels personal, I remove shame

  • I bring ADHD-friendly / neurodivergent-friendly approaches to my work with you

You're not hiring someone to judge your home. You're hiring someone trained to bring order to complexity, gently, practically, and at your pace.

Local, Practical Donation Support

At the end of each session, I'll donate items to the local charity shops and donation points you prefer, including Oxfam, Cancer Research UK, and others nearby.

Please note: Opening times and donation rules can change, so we'll double-check before drop-off.

What clients say

I felt safe, understood, and actually motivated — which is rare for me when it comes to this stuff!

Highly recommend - especially if your brain doesn’t work in a neurotypical way and you’ve been putting off asking for help.

— Trish, Selsdon (AuDHD)
